Wired/Wireless Home Network

Wired/Wireless networks are very common in home networking.  The Cable or DSL modem is usually located by your "main" PC.  That PC is plugged into the Routers built in switch by a Ethernet cable.  All other PC's that have Wireless Network cards attach to the Wireless Router through the air.

Another solution that ACR uses is to install a "Repeater" in between the Wireless Router and a Wireless Workstation that is having problems communicating with the network or cannot browse the Internet reliably. Repeaters are commonly used in multiple story houses or when interfere is caused by building structure or other electromagnetic interference.
